At the time, the focus of the team was: 1) Developing and implementing AIUK's response to the changing fundraising environment, ensuring AIUK was fully compliant with external legislation, regulation and best practice.2) Reviewing, refining and documenting key fundraising procedures and processes to enable the fundraising department to work efficiently and protect its investment.3) Developing a clear and compelling fundraising proposition.4) Developing supporter journeys for all key supporter types and routes in to supporting AIUK.I was primarily responsible for leading AIUK’s response to the General Data Protection Regulation, a complex programme of work that spanned the entire organisation and sought to manage the risk to AIUK’s engagement and financial stability posed by the new regulation. Reporting to AIUK’s Board of Directors, the Finance, Audit and Risk Sub-Committee, and Board of Trustees, I managed all aspects of the project from initial inception and business casing to roll out of multiple workstreams. Highlights included: • A large-scale supporter insight project including a quantitative survey and focus groups • Development and roll out of a direct marketing campaign (digital, print and phone) to reengage current and lapsed supporters• Working with the board of directors to mitigate risks and influence the direction of the project I managed a budget of £650,000 and had one direct report (Strategic Projects Specialist). -
