I’ve been programming computers since I was a child, and I still learn and apply new languages and technologies to this day, for the job or for personal projects. I'm always amazed by how easy and cheap it is to take an idea and implement it using today's cloud providers capabilities to build anything you want.People say I’m an expert in agile software delivery. More than ten years ago I was one of the first managers in Chile to apply the Scrum and Kanban frameworks in an enterprise. Today I practice DevOps principles. I helped my organization reach continuous deployment and improved quality, without adding people to central teams or making processes heavier.Colleagues also regard me as a cloud expert and early adopter. Using infrastructure as a service we scaled one of Latin America’s largest e-commerce websites. And reduced costs thanks to elastic capacity and operations automation. I used cloud applications to build data platforms that extract, process and analyze millions of records in near real-time for hundreds of retail customers. And today I manage cloud infrastructure for one of the leading travel platforms in the world.As a manager, I’m known as someone who brings out the best in technical teams. I’ve led small development teams and 40+ people departments, growing engineers to senior positions or management. I believe in setting the right conditions and developing talent, so the rest follows naturally.
