About Hichem Guerboukha, Ph. D.

I’m currently seeking motivated graduate students interested in THz science and technology, electromagnetics, optics, wave propagation, metamaterials, antennas, imaging and sensing.I specialize in the science and technology of terahertz (THz) waves, a unique part of the electromagnetic spectrum located between microwaves and optics. The THz band (100 GHz-10 THz) is widely considered the next frontier in wireless communication. My research is dedicated to addressing the specific challenges associated with these high-frequency waves and identifying novel opportunities arising from their quasi-optical nature. I generate, manipulate, and, most importantly, utilize THz waves for exciting future applications in sensing, imaging, and wireless communications.
