In this role, I demonstrated my strength in communications by developing, leading and executing strategic and results-driven communications and awards programs for the largest global law firm. In this role, I acted as manager and key advisor on the planning, development and implementation of strategic communications for one of the largest academic hospitals in Canada. I worked closely with local and national media outlets to ensure the hospital’s reputation as a world-class organization was reinforced. I successfully managed the redesign of a top health-care industry website and intranet. I led the strategic direction and maintenance of each bilingual site, reviewed and assessed analytics, and arranged for The Ottawa Hospital to be the first Canadian hospital to have key content translated into sign language. I researched and developed a social media policy, educational materials and guidelines for all staff, and managed the hospital’s social media presence. Further to this, I wrote and edited content for a variety of communications and marketing materials including news releases, staff newsletters, internal and external websites, and digital displays.

I coordinated the communications efforts for the London, Paris, Brussels, Chicago, Dubai and Hong Kong offices, monitored media coverage, and provided our Webmaster with site updates. I worked closely with our sales associates to review and analyze feedback from existing customers and turn it into superior marketing collateral, presentations and pitches to prospective customers.

I was the sole full-time employee dedicated to marketing at this leading firm of patent and trade mark attorneys, and was responsible for all aspects of their business development activities across four offices.
