I managed a team of volunteers to deliver a mentoring project in Wiltshire which connected young people leaving care with a supportive and caring mentor. I recruited, trained and supported volunteers to help the young people realise their potential. I developed a good working relationship with the Leaving Care Team at Wiltshire Council to create successful matches between the young people and recruited volunteers. Here I developed a very good knowledge of safeguarding practices for children and young people. I delivered safeguarding training to all volunteers. I was also a regional safeguarding champion for the charity where I supported other staff to make the best decisions around safeguarding for volunteers and beneficiaries.

Previously I have been responsible for upholding aspects of the Eco Campus ISO14001 Environmental Management System, Fairtrade University status, as well as the position in the People and Planet University Green League. In the past I have submitted 3 NUS Green Impact Awards to a high standard and one of my student engagement projects was listed as a finalist for a Green Gown Award from the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges. I have successfully completed a ISO14001:2015 internal auditor course and have completed audits compliant with the ISO14001:2015/Eco-campus certification.Successes include;-Incorporated Sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals into the Union's Strategic Plan-Managed all sustainability and volunteering projects at Bournemouth University for students -Obtained 3 Green Impact Awards from the National Union of Students-Listed as a Finalist in the prestigious Green Gown Awards -Oversaw operational sustainability of the Student's Union in accordance with ISO14001:2015 (internal auditor qualified) -Undertook large scale audits of the Summer ball and Freshers Fair (IS014001:2015 standard)
