Hatch Lighting designs and manufactures a rich portfolio of LED Drivers for the general illumination market.As the Director of Engineering, I run the day-to-day operations of the engineering team both for New Product Introduction as well as Sustaining Engineering reporting directly to the company's President.During my tenure the company successfully developed and brought to market its two most recent product lines that will carry the company through the next several years.VLOC - A series of high output quality, programmable, Constant Voltage LED drivers.Foundation - A series of Cloud Programmable, Specification Grade, Tri-Dimmable, Constant Current LED Drivers.

Bridgelux is a manufacturer of general illumination solid-state lighting solutions (LED lighting). Xenio was a spin-off of Bridgelux, formed when Bridgelux was acquired in 2016. Xenio’s product lines included: 1. Integrated Smart Lighting Modules, 2. LED Drivers with Bluetooth Beacon capabilities and 3. Stand Alone Battery and PoE powered Bluetooth Beacons. As the Director of HW Engineering I was responsible for the engineering group’s day to day activities, mentoring, sizing, budget, resources and schedules. I was also in charge of handling all the Operation’s New Product Introduction (NPI) related activities. Reported (in a weekly basis) to the executive staff on status, risks and mitigation plans.

The WattStopper (owned by Legrand North America) is one of the major commercial Lighting Controls companies in the US. I rejoined Wattstopper as a Sr. Electrical Engineer in 2005 and acquired higher levels of responsibility throughout the following 10 years, promoted to Systems Architect in 2009 and then to Electrical Engineering Manager/EPM in 2012. I was responsible for leading a team of fifteen senior Electrical, Firmware, Software, Test and Quality Engineers.During my tenure I architected what would become the most successful product line in the company’s history, a home wrong IoT networking technology for Lighting Controls, that accounted (as of 2017) for more than $100M in annual revenue and growing 20% year over year.

Echelon was the creator of LonWorks, a ubiquitous (100M+ deployed devices globally) device networking technology (what we know today as IoT) for commercial and industrial markets. As a member of the US Support and Applications Engineering team, I assisted key customers (Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Bombardier, Philips, Samsung) in all aspects of the LonWorks technology regarding embedded HW and FW development, windows programming, TCP/IP internet connectivity (early days of IoT), etc.

I joined Wattstopper (owned by Legrand North America) as an Electrical Engineer and revamped the company's existing Lighting Panel Control System, redesigned the underlying communications scheme, developed new embedded devices and wrote (in Visual Basic) a PC based User Interface to complete the new offering.
