I am an alumna of Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey, where I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Hard of Hearing and Deaf Studies. After the completion of my undergraduate studies, I embarked on a professional journey as an Education Specialist. This role, which I fulfilled for a duration of two years in Turkey, primarily entailed working with individuals with special needs in a Special Education and Rehabilitation Center.Furthering my academic pursuits, I undertook graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, culminating in the attainment of both a Master's and Ph.D. degrees. My research during this period was concentrated on a spectrum of themes within the realm of special education, notably encompassing learning methodologies, comprehensive school-wide interventions, disciplinary practices in educational settings, and the exploration of multicultural dimensions within special education.Currently, I hold the position of Assistant Professor at Giresun University in Turkey, where I continue to delve into and contribute to the field of special education.
