About Hidde Rijntjes
I have worked as Finance Director of an international fast growing hotel management group. My area of responsibility covered all aspects of financial and risk management, as well as accounting, reporting, corporate control and business process management.I also have worked as public accountant for KPMG Netherlands and Deloitte Netherlands. My job was to provide advisory and assurance services to international institutions within the investment management industry, with a particular emphasis on the hospitality, real estate and private equity sectors. I have worked extensively with real estate investment and development companies, hotel chains, real estate funds and private equity funds and my experience of the accounting and deal structuring issues which impact upon these industries has proved invaluable.On a technical level I am fully cognisant of reporting under IFRS-EU and NL GAAP, as well as valuation guidelines issued by the EVCA and ILPA. I have a Master in Business Administration from the University of Groningen, with majors in ‘Accountancy & Controlling’ and ‘International Financial Management’. I am also qualified in 2008 as a Dutch CPA (Register Accountant – member of the Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants).
