My name is Hien Smith (pronounced 'HEE-in') and I am a second generation Vietnamese-American immigrant, currently working and residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Through a wide variety of work, volunteer, and travel experiences, I have found that I greatly value an honest and genuine pursuit of beauty and truth, for myself and every person I meet.Other interests of mine include direct mail and fundraising trends, food innovations, Millennials and society, and socio-psychological studies on philanthropy and altruism. Some personal interests include knitting, drinking decaffeinated coffee, and baking for my small (yet mighty) family.I am also an advocate of food scholarship, a hopeful apiarist, and a proud supporter of the Oxford comma.
