The UMKC College of Arts and Sciences (UMKC CAS) is the largest academic unit at UMKC that offers a vast selection of courses, spanning across three academic areas: Arts and Humanities, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Natural and Physical Sciences that encompass 17 departments with more than 40 degree options.𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸:• Curated & published contents for newly established UMKC CAS’s social media outlets, including Facebook (400 followers) & Twitter (200 followers)• Designed & developed content for UMKC CAS’s weekly student e-newsletter to provide latest information regarding the college's new policies, events, learning opportunities for more than 15000 students.• Conducted market research and assisted in developing marketing communication plan for all 17 sub-departments of UMKC CAS• Worked with UMKC Marketing & Communications department to redevelop the CAS website and the international marketing material.𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:• Increased the social engagement of UMKC CAS social media channels by 30% and 10% growth of Facebook followers without any ads placement.• Increased the open rate & click rate of UMKC CAS weekly e-newsletter by 3%.

UMKC International Student Affairs Office (ISAO) committed to helping international students make the most of their time in the United States and providing culturally sensitive services of the highest quality through services include application process assistance, orientation, immigration advising, cultural events and community outreach programs.𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸:• Handled initial application process of more than 2000 prospective international students per semester with high accuracy, including transcribing paper applications, retrieving web applications with supplemental immigration documents & transcripts, filing documents in the system sent over to respective academic departments.• Made email correspondence with students regarding application status and processed application fee payment via phone or physical mail.• Prepared admission offer packets to mail out to more than 500 international students per semester via different mailing couriers, both domestic and international.• Maintained contacts with 18 academic departments in facilitating students' applications and academic status.𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:• Decreased turn-around time of processing application by 20% waiting time since employment• Trained 3 new student assistants and temporarily filled in as section supervisor for 6 months as a full-time student while waiting for new full-time hire to replace.
