Hijn Tromp graduated with a honours degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1993, specialising in signal processing, instrumentation and test systems. He worked on ultrasonic and fiber optic gyro development projects at the CSIR as development engineer before focussing on embedded software at CONLOG for the support, development and industrialisation of a solar home system product, prepayment electricity and water meters. He worked as engineer in the test-range systems department in the defence and aerospace industry since 2009 being involved with product development, maintenance and repair, in-flight safety of missiles and rockets and ISO9001 QMS's before joining Dragonfly Aerospace in 2021 as Software Engineer.
