Examinations of three distinct segments of contemporary fashion marketing were performed: evolutionary marketing, social commerce, and customer cultivation that leads to brand loyalty. The results of an online survey aided by an in-depth focus group revealed that fashion marketers must engage conversationally with their consumers through social media by providing exclusive, potent, and relatable content through their varying social media platforms and outlets, including bloggers. The survey and focus group revealed that consumers are not welcoming of the idea of socialized commerce, in particular through the social media platform of Facebook. Together these findings indicate that fashion marketers must develop their stratagem, evolve with their digital aged consumers, and offer consumer-oriented forms of marketing, branding, and advertising. -
