Associate Director, Communities And Volunteer RelationsHuman Rights Campaign Sep 2012 - Apr 2015Washington, DcAt the Human Rights Campaign, I supported a robust and vast volunteer structure through training and developing volunteers into strong leaders, ambassadors and fundraisers. I supported the communities through facilitating various leadership development and team building workshops including the Interpersonal Leadership Assessment (ILS), the DISC assessment, and the Thomas-Kilman Instrument (TKI) assessment. I also worked in collaboration with my colleagues to create content for new skill-building modules on the topics of role-fit analyses, team development, conflict management, recruitment and fundraising through story sharing. I served as manager on various projects while working at the Human Rights Campaign. My project lead credentials include restructuring the Board Development process, marketing and content for an annual volunteer leadership retreat and workshops, and providing content and structure to a three-part webinar series on Diversity and Inclusion. In addition to my training and development work, I created new recruitment tools, including a volunteer recruitment and appreciation videos (attached below) and new volunteer handbook, as well as produced the annual volunteer appreciating awards ceremony. -

My data collection methods included one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders in the Arkansas child health arena, as well as nine focus groups of parents, teachers, administrators and health care providers throughout the state. Attached is a report outlining the results of the needs assessment including recommendations moving forward.
