With over twenty-five years of experience as a local government official, tech entrepreneur, and civic leader, she is excited to share her love of Santa Cruz County with donors and will assist them in them achieving their personal philanthropic goals while helping our community thrive.

Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is the local non-profit partner for NOAA’s Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and its chief advocate. Our Mission is to inspire the public to protect Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary through participation in and support of sanctuary programs, projects, and partnerships.

Led customer support, business development, and strategic alliances for IoT startup.Defined and executed strategies to provide excellent support to customers. Collaborated with entire team to drive better customer outcomes and worked with engineering to ensure that pressing and emergent issues were quickly resolved. Designed plans for government outreach by providing analysis of emerging or existing legislative public policy issues impacting the project. Coordinated actions through strategic partners in government, industry, consulting firms, and others to increase product visibility and adoption.

Developed fiscal and public policies to support key initiatives for city of 62,000, with $216 Million budget and 725 employees, raising City’s S&P General Obligation Bond rating from AA to AA+.Led Council’s local business retention efforts through the formation of a Downtown business incentive program, visiting over 125 firms. Managed re-examination of water supply planning efforts for City of Santa Cruz's 90,000 customer water district. Shaped City’s Broadband Master Plan and Open Data Ordinance as Technology Task Force member. Collaborated with the Golden State Warriors Development League management to bring D-League team to Santa Cruz. Developed first Santa Cruz Youth City Council, partnering with 8 local schools and over 300 students. Created Public Safety Citizens’ Task Force resulting in City/County Downtown Accountability Program (DAP) that addresses chronic offenders and most vulnerable homeless.
