Oversee strategic direction, people leadership, and day-to-day operations of Department for Business and Trade Capital Investment team, North America. Manage relationships with portfolio of Capital Investors in the Bay Area including Venture Capital, Private Equity, Real Estate and University Endowments. As the UK Department for Business and Trade's Head of Venture Capital Relations, I am responsible for developing and managing new and existing relationships with many of the world’s leading venture capital firms headquartered on the west coast of the United States and Canada. I aim to strengthen investors' engagement with the UK by providing curated deal flow support, facilitating partnership development, organizing events and partnerships and advising portfolio companies on UK expansion.

As a senior consultant in the Operations Advisory team at KPMG, I have worked across a range of corporate, industry and government clients. My main areas of expertise lie in food and agribusiness and supply chain, as well as experience in operational excellence and organisational design. Some of my most recent projects include an agricultural supply chain study for the Far North Queensland region, the development of a national digital capability framework for the agricultural workforce to upskill digital literacy, a transformation program for customer communications for a major big 4 bank involving work on a new Target Operating Model, as well as the implementation of blockchain technologies for the supply chains of a major agricultural industry body.

In this role I played a great part in competitor research, coverage tracking, and brainstorms for some of Ogilvy Australia's major clients. I was able to fulfill my love for writing by helping with press releases and I learnt valuable lessons regarding the power of public relations and the nature of creativity.

Worked to help organise and run events such as Channel Nine Suncorp Super Netball Launch, and Channel 9 Oscars Lunch.

As the marketing intern at St Andrew's College I represented the voice of the students of St Andrew's to the public through blogging. This largely involved writing media releases and blogs on major college events told from the resident perspective, which were published on the college website. My writing came to form a large part of not only the increasingly-popular college blog but also the college's overall reputation from a PR perspective. During my second year at St Andrew's College I was elected head of a five-person committee to organise an increasingly-esteemed music festival called Drewtopia. Drewtopia is an annual event showcasing a range of famous Sydney bands and DJ's, hosting about 1200 guests every year. In organising this event I managed a $50,000 budget and allocated funds accordingly to artist payment, stage and lighting, alcohol, licensing, etc. I also managed relationships with numerous sponsors, namely Red Bull, Bacardi, and Coca-Cola Amatil. My role also involved the organization of first-year college students to work at the event, which proved to be a feat from an HR and timetabling perspective. Finally, I had a huge focus on the marketing of Drewtopia in order to increase its prestige for following years, a job which involved the organization of ample social media, photography and videography services (please see Facebook event page). https://www.facebook.com/events/1042975015773416/

I have worked as a nanny for 10-15 hours for week for nearly the entirety of my studies. I have worked very closely with two different families, one with a five-year old daughter and the other with a one-year old daughter and a three-year-old son. This work included before and after-school care, transport, practicing instruments, preparing meals, etc. Nannying has certainly improved my practical skills as well as my patience - including risk management, time management, etc.

Worked as floor staff in food and drink services at The Avalon, a fine dining restaurant in Sydney's Northern Beaches. Work also included waitressing at large events such as weddings and engagement parties, as well as floor-staff services in the more-casual beach kiosk below the restaurant.

I coached soccer at Ascham for year 5's and the junior B's (years 8-9), both of whom had very successful seasons. I also coached a variety of tennis programs including private lessons, junior day camps, and senior school IGSAA competitions. Skills required/acquired include risk management, adequate supervision, time management and organization.
