I lead the digital communications team at the Nebraska Alumni Association and help guide our communication strategy across all platforms and channels. Our work centers on creating strategy and sharing content to serve, unite and celebrate Huskers everywhere.

In this role I oversee the digital communication initiatives and serve as the media and public relations contact for the Nebraska Alumni Association. Our digital communication encompasses managing huskeralum.org and being well-versed in our content management system. I also help with strategy and project management for our email marketing. This includes serving as a liaison with campus communication contacts and maintaining and fostering those relationships. In addition, I manage our social media presence as an alumni association and work on other digital endeavors, such as the development and execution of mobile apps for our various programs. In addition to directing our digital communication team, I also serve as the lead in content strategy and help in guiding that creation and execution. My role in media and public relations centers on helping maintain a consistent voice and message across the organization.

My responsibilities included managing and growing the Nebraska Alumni Association’s social media networks and assisting with other digital communications efforts. My work also included the development of the NAA’s social media strategy, ongoing social media management, digital analytics/ROI tracking and online marketing support for alumni chapters and affiliate groups.

I work as part of the NCAA Media Coordination Team in aiding in general media services, from helping distribute stats and notes to facilitating post-game press conferences.

I was the media relations director for the nationally-prominent Nebraska volleyball and track and field teams. I handled day-to-day communication and media relations duties for both sports. In this role I developed and executed public relations and media relations strategies. I also coordinated event coverage and feature pieces with local and national media entities and facilitated and executed social media strategies. I authored and designed media guides, daily press releases, media note packets and newsletters and promoted student-athletes for national athletic, academic and community service awards.

I continued my work as the media relations contact for the Nebraska women's gymnastics team. I also assisted with day-to-day operations in the media relations office for football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball and baseball.
