This was a small firm that offered bookkeeping and income tax services to various clients. In my role as Senior Accountant, I was assigned 6-7 small companies for whom I did all of their accounting (A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, etc.) I was also helping the owner prepare income tax returns for businesses and individuals.

Started my own business performing Accounting duties for small businesses that are in need of accounting/bookkeeping services. My clients are small business owners/entrepreneurs who need help with their day to day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, inventory management, payroll, monthly/quarterly/annual financial report preparation, Simple IRA Fund Management, monthly Sales and Use Tax reports, A/R and A/P.

I was hired and trained to be a Crew Leader. I had 50-75 enumerators that reported directly to me on a daily basis. My job was to ensure that the enumerators were going to and gathering the information required by the census bureau. This was done by having daily status updates, and re-assigning assignments if needed.

At the inception of GC Hahn, all accounting functions were performed by an outside Agency located in Chicago, IL. I was hired to bring all of those accounting functions in-house. I successfully converted all of the historical accounting data into Quickbooks. In my capacity as Accountant for GC Hahn, I administered all employee benefits including the healthcare plan, 401(k), short-term and long-term disability insurance. I also prepared payroll and calculated sales commissions/bonuses. In addition, I prepared all monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and converted them to the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for our parent company located in Lubeck, Germany.

I was hired as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Company Owned Stores (COSMIC). Midas made the decision to sell all of their Company Owned Stores to individual franchisees. The Vice President for which I was working, made the decision to become a Franchisee and purchased 10 Midas shops. He gave me the opportunity to perform the role in his new Company (MacCal Mgmt.) as his Office Manager/Benefits Coordinator/Payroll Specialist/Accountant. After 3 years, I was promoted to Operations Manager. While still performing the main Accounting duties for the company, I took on the responsibility of managing all 10 Midas shops with over 60 employees. This entailed hiring/firing of all technicians, store managers, assistant managers and service writers.
