I have worked as theatre director at the Norwegian Nationaltheater from 1982 -87.I have been staff director in The Norwegian National Opera & Ballett since 1995 till 2020! I do mostly music theatre.Some of my productions are: "Eugen Onegin" in Bergen 2009 and "la Boheme" in Oslo, Oscarsborgoperaen.2009 "Turandot" at Opera Hedeland, Denmark 2008"Dead beat Escapement" at DNO&B 2008 "Rigoletto" at the DNO&B,2011J.Haydn "L`isola disabitata" at DNO&BMusicals "Evita","An Magrit","Which Witch", "Rock`n Roll Wolf".Recently theatre production of "33 Variations" at the DNT in Oslo.and "La Traviata", a touring production for DNO&B.Director in 2014 at the Lidal North summer course, directing "Das Rheingold", In 2015 "Snow White" the fairytale, with DNO&B children chorus.In 2016 i revived "Lady Macbeth from Mzensk" Schostakovitch. Alejo Perez conducted. And also "Cavalleria Rusticana" and "Pagliacci "with Lise Davidsen Santuzza and Marita Sølvberg Nedda. Antonino Fogliani conducted. 2016 DNO&B made "Pelléas et Mélisande." Barbora Horakova as stage director and doing one of her first big operas. A marvellous piece with an extraordinary director. Me as assistant.Worldpremiere of "Ballerina"by composer Synne Skouen, libretto Oda Radoor. Premiere sept 8th.2017. We did «Götterdämmerung»! A crazy and fantastic experience. Workshop with almost two fulll casts and two performances Lee Bisset and Itziar Galdos the wonderful Brünhilde’s!2022 I did "Tosca" at the opera in Kristiansund, Norway. With a great cast(Ann Helen Moen, Kjetil Støa, Jørgen Backer) and with Halldis Rønning conducting.Teaching opera students at the Norwegian Art high schoolPreparing the chamberopera Fram composer Synne Skouen, libretto Oda Radoor for DNO&B. Premier 15.09.2023.
