I have 15(+) years experience with a wide variety of knowledge regarding the large animal industry, education and customer service.I graduated from the University of Georgia in May of 2003 with a B.S. in Agriculture. After graduating, I pursued a career in Agriculture Education for six years. During that time, it was my responsibility to educate high school students about various opportunities within the agriculture industry. I exposed them to many aspects of the equine and livestock industries and the importance of herd health management practices.Furthermore in 2010, I was given the opportunity to work as a Marketing Product Manager for Bioniche Animal Health, another animal health company, which afforded me the opportunity to learn about the large animal health industry within the USA & Canada. During this time I was responsible for sales and marketing research, monthly reports regarding Bioniche's Product line and the competitor's products regarding their marketshare. Additionally, I was responsible for assisting with product marketing initiatives including market analysis, promos, and budgets for the individual products.As a current member of the Merial, UlcerGard Trial Program, I have been able to witness firsthand the vital role that Merial plays within the animal health industry. The primary focus of this position is to generate awareness as it pertains to Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS) and the proper use of UlcerGard & GastroGard, along with educating owners and trainers on other equine health related issues including parasites and importance of strategic deworming, osteoarthritis and how it affects performance of the horse, along with the importance of annual vaccinations. I am also responsible for providing assistance with special projects and educational efforts as directed by management which include educating owners and producers about other Merial Large Animal Products.
