With over twenty years of experience in education, I am passionate about creating innovative and inclusive learning environments that promote equity in education. As the Director of Education at T.R.O.Y. School, I oversee the development and implementation of the curriculum, assessment, and professional development programs for educators in a school with a diverse student body. I leverage my skills in project management, curriculum design, and curriculum development to ensure high-quality and relevant educational outcomes aligned with the school's mission and vision. Previously, I served as the Principal and Assistant Principal at Westdale Middle School, where I led the school improvement initiatives, fostered a positive school culture, and increased student achievement and engagement. I hold a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University, where I also earned my Bachelor's degree. I am committed to advancing the field of education by collaborating with other educators, sharing best practices, and pursuing lifelong learning.I am passionate about equal access and equity in education. I believe that educators have an ethical duty to promote equity and provide every student with the best possible education. Being an educator is not simply a job. Educators have a higher level of responsibility than many other occupations, a responsibility to ensure equal access to education and a commitment to closing the opportunity gap.
