The purpose of the initiative is to improve access, services and outcomes for job seekers with disabilities served by WorkSource, with a focus on supporting success through established Career Pathways programs. This position oversees, coordinates, monitors and reports on the work of contractors and subcontractors, and responds and maintains effective relationships with the Department of Labor. This position was also the lead for the Ticket to Work program for the WA State Employment Security Department serving King and Snohomish Counties.T2W is a social security benefit program for SSA recipients seeking work.

Consultation/Project Management: Provided training and project development for the assistive technology department, both in-house and county-wide among employment service providers. Developed presentations and led workshops for service providers on assistive technology and its funding, at venues such as the ARC, NISH, Microsoft Customized Employment division, Highline College, DVR, DSB, and WorkSource/American Job Centers. Provided counseling to our clients on social security benefits, including requests for PASS, IRWE and Subsidies. Managed up to eight grants per year for county, city and statewide grants. Developed and coordinated staff and individual client trainings. This included creating curriculum for IT and programmatic trainings. Coordinated technical assistance consultations for group and individual trainings both for staff and clients. Managed quality assurance projects which guarantee diverse company grants, excellent client services and renewed certification of our vocational services by CARF, United Way, and other grant and accreditation providers.

Conducted a marketing plan in order to customize the agency's lending services. Provided outreach at DVR meetings and events, consumer advocacy fairs and trainings. Provided outreach over the radio, in newspapers and in other media outlets. Developed, coordinated and implemented fundraising events including the Wine and Cheese Night with Auction and the Aquasox fundraiser. Assisted with board development and borrower intake. Formerly a VISTA volunteer.

Assisted in fundraising projects; grant writing and research; and development and writing for monthly newsletter.

Researched and wrote medical and public affairs pieces for several print publications under the umbrella of the Pacific Publishing Co. in Seattle, WA.
