As a sustainable urban development consultant with UN-Habitat, I worked mainly with cities in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region on nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and integrating climate change considerations into National Urban Policies. I sought a local government position to gain experience with the on-the-ground implementation of urban policies and plans, and was fortunate to land my current position as a long-range planner at the rapidly growing, historic riverfront city of Wilmington, NC. With neighborhoods being the fundamental unit of urban change and innovation, I'm interested in developing expertise in sustainable neighborhood planning I move forward in my career. I'm excited to work closely with diverse local stakeholders in creating an inspiring vision for their community, and in bringing inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable neighborhoods to fruition.
