I manage 3 social media managers and between 2-4 interns at all times. Originally, I began at this company as a social media manager myself. I was the second employee, but as we grew my leadership skills progressed me into a coordinators role and eventually I became the director of the entire department. Our department manages multiple social media accounts on platforms such as, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Linkedin for local and national businesses, organizations for and non profit, individuals and politicians. I also manage all social advertising accounts which includes in-depth audience and market research, optimized ad writing and monitoring. In addition to advertising I also handle public affairs for several of our larger clients.

This unpaid internship was with the Business Development & Corporate Communications Department of North Oaks Health System. I learned in an atmosphere that provided the skills to grow and gain real life experience in the fields of marketing and communication. I would love to tell you how perfectly I preformed in this internship, but if I had been perfect, I wouldn't have learned, I wouldn't have gained anything from my experience.My supervisors continuously provided me with praise for what they referred to as an "exemplary skill-set"​ but they also, and more importantly, gave insightful feedback on my weaker skills. By the closing of my internship I had independently created and proposed a new public relations campaign. I gathered and created all content, collaborated on graphic design and implemented a plan of execution. The proposal was presented to the Vice President of Business Development, Tracy Randazzo.

Mainly serving as volunteer work, I produced public service announcements, press releases, brochures, push cards, newsletters, a media kit, print advertisements and much more in an effort to further market this non-profit organization.I established and managed a Facebook page for the organization. This effort kept their audience up to date on events and specials. The goal of this effort in community outreach was to engaged with DSCC's targeted audience and identify potential new members. Overall the effort maintained, established and furthered positive relationships with the DSCC targeted audience. In addition, I provided event planning and secured sponsorship for DSCC annual events.

The Southeastern Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) partnered with the Hammond Downtown Development District to incorporate youth into the city's annual event Art in April, held on April 19, 2013.On this night Downtown Hammond was bursting with art exhibits and bubbly libations. Featuring more than 40 regional artists’ exhibits, live music, and a creative champagne-cocktail tasting, Art in April was an evening that celebrated Hammond as a Cultural District. With the twist PRSSA brought to Art in April, the youth was, for the first time ever, able to participate in the wonderful cultural experience. Our organization exposed students of Tangipahoa and surrounding parishes to the history and culture of Downtown Hammond in the spirit of art through the first ever Hammond Regional Youth Art Competition, "Jazzin; It Up".The competition strove to publicize the youthful vision of the life and culture of Louisiana and Downtown Hammond. Global Concepts and Gallery provided their venue, in the heart of Downtown, and our organization gave a $500 scholarship to the 1st place winner, along with many other awards.
