I've spent the last thirty years teaching 6th through 12th grade in Kansas and Missouri Public Schools. I am a Student-Centered Instructional Coach who has a plethora of experiences from teaching English/Language Arts, ESL, Pre-Engineering, Computers, Strategic Reading, and more. My work in K-12 schools has lent way to staff development opportunities within my school and time working for Literacy First. Principals I've worked under have appointed me to Leadership teams, State Accreditation Committees, and professional development leadership roles. I hold myself and others to the highest of standards as I navigate into uncharted territories, taking learning to new levels and thinking outside the box. Seven years ago, I decided to put my activism to greater use by running for a local election and becoming a City Council Member. My mind never stops thinking of ways to perfect and create change where needed. My work brings about a greater productivity level within myself--contagious to those around me.
