About Hilma E. Z. Valdimarsdottir

With an education from Iceland under my belt, I relocated to Denmark and have since established a solid base in Aarhus.In Iceland, I completed a Bachelor's degree from Reykjavik University in Engineering Management, where I opted for programming and finance courses. It was there that my interest in processes, standards, and data analysis was ignited.I love working with my hands and figuring out how things work, and most importantly, how I can make them myself. This aligns well with my chosen education and subsequent career: • Seeing the big picture and understanding how process changes will affect the final product. • Researching and asking questions until I have a full understanding of the issue. • Making a plan and following it, but also reevaluating it along the way to reach the goal.I bring a strongly analytical and solution-oriented mindset, as well as a willingness to learn – preferably through hands-on experience.In my last job, my main task was handling spare parts. This included creating new item numbers, order processing, and sometimes production planning and delivery. The task required a lot of proactivity, as I worked in an international company with many complex processes. The work spanned several different departments, where I constantly had to consider how I communicated while maintaining focus on processes and good service.In my spare time, I engage in volunteer work, where I manage a beer inventory and have developed a spreadsheet for inventory management and play with post-calculation of beer consumption.I am seeking a position within the supply chain or quality - in a company where sustainability and the green transition are highly prioritized - where I can support a team, managers, and my colleagues. Helping others gives me energy and that's what motivates me. Where? Aarhus - Midtjylland – willing to commute for the right job.
