Was the first non-founder brought on to establish and build the business partnerships, infrastructure and processes. The firm traded a wide spectrum of securities including equities, corporates, corporate derivatives (CDS, CDX, LCDS), bank debt, fixed income, mortgages (CMO, CDO, CMBS, ABS), mortgage derivatives (ABS CDS, ABX, ABI), and repos. Assets under management grew to US$860 million in 2008 and the firm was shut down at the end of 2009.Designed and developed a comprehensive front-to-back office platform to run the business as nothing in the market could handle the variety of assets traded. The Greeks, as I called the system, covered Trade Capture, Messaging (data and files in and out to counterparties, prime brokers and administrator), Pricing, Risk, Middle Office, Back Office, Accounting and Reconciliation, all in a single custom platform. It supported over 65 asset classes, multiple funds, auto-allocations and had a complete margin module that enabled us to manage and predict cash and margin calls.

Simplex Asset Management traded Japanese and US fixed income (AUM US$360 million) and was one of the first to enter into high-frequency trading in US Government bonds, bond futures and swap derivatives. Joined Simplex to replace the existing manual and Excel based processes with a professional grade platform. In late 2003, moved to the USA to establish the local branch.Designed and programmed the complete front to back business flow for the entire business that enabled ten fold increases in number of funds managed, 100 fold increases in trading volume, and over 95% electronic straight through processing (STP) trading with no changes in middle and back office headcount.

Spun off IndaSoft to design and develop a commercial-grade corporate risk management system. Its first product, RiskAction, was released in 1998 and was sold to large consulting practices, defense, local and federal government and utilities in several countries. Sold the company in November 1999 to a specialist risk firm.

Founded an IT consulting practice to provide systems architecture and complex project management services. Key projects included the successful project management of a multi-million dollar complex ERP implementation across a group of five disparate companies, project managed the successful infrastructure replacement for the largest construction materials company in Australia and designed and developed a corporate risk management system for a large insurer and automobile association.
