University of Florida’s oldest and most distinguished leadership honorary, Florida Blue Key recognizes a class of students each semester who have displayed exemplary leadership on campus and have made significant contributions to the University of Florida through service.

Legislative Intern for the Office of Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (FL-24). My roles include answering constituents phone calls and mails, conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol, and help coordinate events with the staff.

• Ensure timely and accurate mass communication in BSU via website and newsletter, creating the Black Student Union'sspring calendar.• Maintain minutes of all BSU general body meetings and Executive Board Meetings.• Create and update records of activities of BSU and any sub-organizations• Ensure compliance with BSU’s Constitution and its Bylaws• Ensure maintenance of BSU office space, including logs, supplies, and appearance• Educate incoming freshman on supports and resources by giving them tours, participating and organizing a studentpanel, and creating a survival guide for their first semester.• Set-up and monitor a yearlong mentorship program between interested individuals and qualified mentors, including amentor/mentee retreat, and various social events for sustainable growth

The director of the Mentorship cabinet is to set up and monitor a year-long mentorship program between interested individuals and qualified mentors. Responsibilities also include the planning of the mentor/mentee retreat, as well as, various social events for sustainable growth of the mentor/mentee pairings.

Selected as one of 1,000 for an 18-month professional development program for high-achieving diverse talent. Complete business case studies and intensive projects to hone analytical, quantitative, and communication skills. Participate in conferences hosted by industry leaders, such as Deloitte, Google, Goldman Sachs, Clorox, and Target

Created and presided over all educational forums, new member training, and risk reduction workshops.Served as chair of the University’s Greek Judicial Board and serve on the review committee.Created engaging programs and philanthropy to increase Greek unity across all four councils at the University of Florida.

Bridges Multicultural Outreach Program is an agency whose mission is to prepare the next generation of racial minority scholars in the state of Florida to be competitive applicants in UF’s application process. The program is designed to work with high school students from various underrepresented backgrounds by enrolling them in a semester-long program that entails application readiness workshops/webinars, a comprehensive mentorship program.

Collaborate with the Vice-Chair to perform outreach and establish partnerships with local leaders in the City of Gainesville to collaborate with the Agency in hosting a day dedicated to connecting student leaders to their local government

My tasks include planning at least one internal/external event for the fall and spring semester geared towardscommunity service and engagement. Lead a committee of around 10 council members to develop council members event planning, budget management, and leadership skills and provide feedback and support to council members and directors regarding event planning.

FLC recognizes first-year students at the University of Florida seeking to make major accomplishments both on campus and in the community. Each school year, roughly 50 freshmen are selected to be a part of this prestigious organization where they engage in leadership activities.
