As the Assistant Marketing Manager for Gold's Gym India, my responsibility was to understand and analyze the expected footfall in each of the gyms in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and Pune on a monthly basis. Using the data analysis the marketing strategy was developed keeping in mind the previous month revenue, past year revenue for the same month and the projected revenue for the current month. The strategy framed was executed with a regular monitoring of the number of registration or new memberships against each of the marketing media used.

As a Management Research student at the Department of Management Studies, IIT- Madras, I have worked on learning from various marketing, consumer behaviour and strategy management experts from across the Globe. The exposure and understanding of the user behavior from experts enabled me to pursue a research on customer satisfaction and retail industry. The study done specifically for grocery retailing in India enabled me to infer that the customers in India prefer shopping at both the large format shows (to explore varied options while refilling their grocery) but also depend upon the small format convenience (kirana) stores for their day to day grocery items of immediate and perishable use.
