The unit has operated under three Prime Ministers with resultant shifts in priority areas.• Member of the delegation to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2018• Provide strategic advice to the Prime Minister and inform Cabinet decision making • Supervise Pakistan’s performance in global rankings; develop performance indicators for government institutions; devise strategy for effective and impactful communication of reform • Monitor and evaluate Prime Minister’s Youth Schemes• PR and public/youth engagement Key achievements– Critical engagements at WEF Annual Meetings on matters of strategic national importance including: initial discussions related to funding for the Diamer Basha Dam and integration of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA); investment in R&D centres by renowned global telecom and technology companies; and promoting Pakistan’s soft image in the international media.– Contributed to Pakistan’s advancement by four places and 1.1 points in the WEF GCI.– Achieved a marked improvement within two months in the performance of the National Bank of Pakistan’s Youth Loan Scheme through the introduction of an automated monitoring system. – Facilitated COD of the United Energy Pakistan wind power plant through timely intervention of the Cabinet Committee on Energy.– Identified a dormant hydropower project in the remote area of District Chitral, identified key bottlenecks and intervened to remove them effectively.
