Review of the new and renewal submissions and prepare a detailed analysis and underwriting recommendation including geographical exposures, major and natural catastrophe losses estimations for higher management.Manage relationships with existing and potential clients and brokers in order to underwrite new business and hit maximum premiums with the least possible combined ratios.Prepare various detailed analytics of our book of business in order to effectively monitor our underwriting performance and evaluate the current underwriting climate and devise strategic initiatives.Work closely with the actuarial team, review and write quotes and negotiate terms with brokers using different actuarial methods to ensure proper pricing of new and renewal accounts and the preparation of our annual aggregate catastrophe and large losses modeling exercise.Manage relationships with brokers and direct clients, and our finance department to ensure accuracy of accounts and settlements and also with our claim department to identify, boost and resolve any claim payment issue.

I was in charge of retention project that consists on improving the company’s profitability through building two models, an analytical model and an operational model:- The first one classifies the client depending to their profitability and probability of leaving the company (predictions based on machine learning models).- The second one is a matrix of actions and incentives in order to retain the most profitable categories of clients with a great probability to leave the company as determined in the first model.I was also in charge of monitoring and piloting the deployment of the retention tools (web interface) and ensuring good stakeholders governance.Technologies : R, SAS, Excel, VBA
