• The Asian American Women’s Political Initiative (AAWPI) is the only political leadership organization for Asian American and Pacific Islander women in the U.S. The AAWPI National Civic Impact Fellowship empowers individuals and ideas to create social change and equity for AAPI communities in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Georgia.• Received funding to develop pilot program of Racial Healing Initiative (RHI) for Women of Color Leaders • RHI uniquely combines racial equity with a healing-centered, therapeutic approach specifically designed for women of color.• To date, we have welcomed 11 WOC leaders, including the Chief DEI Officer of the City of Philadelphia, the Chief Racial Equity Officer from the Department of Public Health, and leaders from local and national nonprofits. These retreats have fostered deep dialogue, skill-building, and community support, strengthening our collective commitment to equity and resilience in nonprofit and government sectors.

• Represented the Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity in cross-departmental workgroups and meetings within City of Philadelphia including Demographic Data Collection Group, Equitable Engagement Collaborative, and Citywide DEI Leaders meetings.• Collaborated with Communications Manager to integrate anti-racist narratives in all internal and external communications.• Spearheaded and developed trainings on Cultural Humility, Narrative Change, Data Storytelling, and Serving Immigrant and Refugee Communities. Invited by other City departments to lead trainings on narrative change and data storytelling including the Monthly Health Equity Workgroup hosted by Department of Public Health. • Designed and administered two surveys on DEI training needs and racial equity, achieving over 83% response rates, and provided actionable insights into areas such as the utilization of maternal leave.• Restructured the Engagement Council from 7 to 20 members, creating new subcommittees such as Volunteering, Events, and Newsletter, to strengthen staff engagement and inclusion during a triangular merger.• Developed agency-wide DEI plan that provides strategic planning for hiring policies, staff retention, and community engagement to be shared City wide.• Developed organizational budget for racial equity to be shared City wide.• Developed agency-wide questionnaire to assess pay equity and utilization of benefits and led data team to create multivariate analysis and report using SPSS.• Built a standard data collection process for 4 programs to collect outreach data and implemented training to ensure data integrity during primary data collection processes.• Co-led AAPI City Resource Group (CRG) and collaborated with leaders to restructure AAPI CRG to ensure sustainability.

COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Responses:• Secured $1M+ budget through grant development and program expansion.• Led a campaign that vaccinated 5,000+ Limited English Proficiency (LEP) residents in Philadelphia, managing a team of 14 and conducting weekly COVID-19 vaccine clinics over 1.5 years.• Supervised and directed all marketing and public health campaigns to encourage immigrant populations to get vaccinated.• Established innovative partnerships with community-based organizations who serve other immigrant populations, including African and Caribbean immigrants, to sustain vaccine equity efforts in underserved communities and share critical resources.• Presented at local and national conferences to share lessons learned around community-based public health programs. • Developed a survey in 21 languages and coordinated outreach in partnership with PA Governor’s Advisory Commission on AAPI Affairs that gathered more than 3,000 responses to better understand vaccine equity in various AAPI communities. • Established partnership with Philadelphia Department of Public Health to win a $50,000 grant to analyze AAPI patients’ healthcare-seeking behavior using the abovementioned survey data. CIFWI Program:• Planned, designed, implemented and oversaw all reporting for CIFWI programs.• Launched and implemented fundraising strategies, campaigns, events, and special projects to promote mental wellness in Asian immigrant communities. • Built capacity and engaged over 800 community members through programming and organizing to improve mental health. • Established a network of 25 local non-profit, healthcare & philanthropic thought leaders to support program and fundraising. • Developed and led the Wellness Leadership Program (3 cohorts; 80 participants) and developed evaluation to measure impact.

• Launched and developed Chinese Immigrant Families Wellness Initiative (www.CIFWI.org)• Established infrastructure and partnerships for community engagement in cultivating mental wellness across immigrant communities and the mental wellness industry.• Designed and implemented programming and manage a team of 10+ volunteers to achieve project goals.• Designed and managed pre- and post-tests and report structure for program evaluation.

• Taught courses on topics of urban sociology, social theory, and research methods.• Supervised and managed the academic progress of over 70 students each semester. • Designed and facilitated small and large group discussions to create positive and safe learning environments.• Advised and supported over 40 underserved students, including first-generation college students and students of color.
