As a marketing assistant at the Pool and Hot Tub Council of Canada (PHTCC), My project for the summer was to develop a detailed database of clients and members for the PHTCC to grow its national outreach. Having the confidence and support from the management team allowed me to explore different methods through Microsoft Excel to make the database accessible and user-friendly for anyone who would be using it after my internship ended. I successfully introduced new features to the database that would help identify and group potential clients by features such as location and product/service line.In addition, I was given opportunities to listen in on conference calls with different regional and departmental groups within the PHTCC, which provided valuable insight into the day-to-day marketing operations of a national council.
