YorkU 2024 graduate with an Honors degree in Financial and Business Economics, with a keen interest in business, economics, and finance. I have acquired multiple skills and knowledge in these fields through my coursework, extracurricular activities, and co-op experiences. Most recently, I worked as an Events and Promotions Assistant at York University, where I collaborated with the convocation team to organize graduation ceremonies, performed administrative tasks, contacted vendors, and maintained the alumni records and the convocation website. I also co-hosted a podcast called "Girl Power Hour" as an internal coordinator at the Women Empowerment Club at York University, where I discussed topics related to women and the challenges they face. Previously, I completed a co-op term as a Commercial Banking Analyst at Scotiabank, where I analyzed financial statements, conducted credit reporting, researched prospective clients, and assisted with the client onboarding process. Through these experiences, I have developed strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills, as well as self-confidence and efficiency. My goal is to find job opportunities and experiences that will allow me to apply and enhance my skills and knowledge in the field of business, economics, or finance, and to contribute to the success and growth of the organizations I work for. I am motivated by learning new things, solving problems, and making a positive impact.
