We're using Ruby on Rails and Tropo.* Before this I helped Sharethrough improve their video analytics system and their ops. We automated much of their ops with Chef-solo and helped move their live application to Amazon EC2. Since this involved receiving analytics from several 3rd party sites at high volume, the move had to be executed without any traffic loss. We also helped Sharethrough's team better test their Javascript with Jasmine. Other technology used on this project include Ruby on Rails, JQuery, NodeJS, MongoDB and MySQL.* Anchored (Pivotal's term for a tech lead) the team building an internal reporting/visualization application for EMI. This was a Merb & Datamapper project with a significant amount of Javascript via JQuery and Flot for charting.* Kickstarted Topprospect.com as the team's anchor. This meant making all the early technology decisions and seeding habitual, regular releases of visible features. Also helped introduce the client's team to eXtreme Programming including TDD, Pair Programming and planning with Pivotal Tracker.* Rewrote Twitter's Ruby on Rails tweet rendering code as part of their front-end team. Also helped build portions of Retweet and Lists on Twitter.com.* Solved a gnarly performance issue relating to managing changes to nested sets in MySQL on one of Pivotal's earliest Rails projects. Our solution was TDD'd of course.* Helped build Remix, BestBuy's RESTful product catalog API. We learned a lot about the challenges of growing an API that is under active use. This project included Ruby on Rails, Treetop, TokyoCabinet, MySQL, SOLR and significant devops work with Chef-solo.
