Profile bio

About Shelly Jeffcott

I'm an Aussie human factors specialist with 15+ years experience in applied patient safety research - from the designing and testing of clever interventions (we hope!) to working through the messy details of implementation and even hanging around to give staff the support and education they need to create and embed improvements in performance and well-being. Committed to processes that inform, engage and empower individuals and groups toward positive change. Currently helping the Scottish Ambulance Service (www.scottishambulance.com) to keep people at home and out of hospital when it is safe to do so, working across boundaries and focusing on what we are all good at. Massive NHS fan dedicating my career to improving the safety, efficiency and person-centredness of healthcare across Scotland. See Twitter: @drjeffcott @Scotambservice #humanfactors
