I re-established Code18 Interactive in NYC and built it into a profitable, full-service, independent website design and digital marketing agency. In this early version of what would eventually become my current company, I provided digital design and development services to a range of agencies and clients in the Atlanta area. The focus was primarily on digital advertising campaigns and other marketing materials for large businesses, and website design and development for small businesses.Clients: CNN.com, Cingular Wireless, Moxie Interactive (Verizon Wireless, UPS), GO! Designed and helped build a national network of local music portals for Cox Interactive Media, a project which was subsequently acquired by mp3.com. Each portal in the network was affiliated with a local radio station and was customized to fit the brand, voice, and genre of the partner station. Developed a flexible user interface to meet demands relating to usability, advertising, customization and rapid deployment. Helped build the network up from less than 10 sites to over 200 in about six months.

Founder, art director and business manager of regional monthly music publication. Assembled and managed a de-centralized staff of partners, employees & freelancers. Responsible for all advertising sales and vendor relationships. Designed editorial and advertising pages under extremely tight deadlines.

Managed the graphic arts studio in the Atlanta office when the agency was known as Merkley Newman Harty. Provided a variety creative and production services to both the agency and its clients. Provided creative support for numerous new business pitches and presentations. Served as day-to-day liaison with the agency’s headquarters in New York City.Clients: BellSouth, Mercedes-Benz, the airline that eventually became JetBlue

Founding art director for monthly 99Xpress Magazine, at the time the largest circulation print publication in the state of Georgia. Responsible for early creative development of publication, as well as the design of all editorial and advertising pages on a monthly basis. Established the station’s first internal art department and helped create the station’s first website. Created countless promotional items related to station and sponsored events.
