I am in the Hillsdale Robotics Team, and love robots, AI, and mechanical engineering.I came to U.S. when I was 3rd grade due to my father's job. From my passion to learn new things, I am running a Cultural Exchange Club in Hillsdale High School to share and expand our knowledge of different cultures.I am in the Hillsdale Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble, playing trumpet. My passion to music taught me a lesson that no matter what part I play, everybody's each effort and strong passion, creates the harmony in a music, which connects back to the importance of teamwork in robotics. I am eager to learn and experience new things that I didn't know before.

Hillsdale Jazz Ensemble

San Mateo, California, United States

I auditioned for Jazz Ensemble before becoming freshman in high school.Jazz Ensemble taught me how to communicate each other without words. It taught me how to stay connected/bonded to everyone because every player is important and have to sync each other to create harmony throughout the songs. Sometimes, I have to play softer, louder, faster, or slower, and it all depends on how our group makes them.Unlike classical piece, Jazz requires a soul. Soul that needs to be understand by listening to others. You can't just read the music but also know your teammate well and adjust to them. Every person has different ways to feel the music, and that's what makes each band unique and fun!I learned that nothing is perfect, and therefore, requires constant change and adaption. Sometimes, you have to follow your own soul and feel.
