With its unique URL/brand and effective digital marketing strategy, the company has successfully developed relationships with many leading Japanese and US businesses as well as government agencies. Hiroki travels around the world as a conference interpreter in many of his clients’ engagements while also managing and running the business as its CEO. The company works with a network of freelance Japanese interpreters and translators located all over the US and Japan to serve their clients’ global needs. With a desire to work more efficiently with the global freelance community, in 2022, Hiroki launched Sqetto.com, an "upwork-like" online job marketplace for Japanese-bilingual freelancers worldwide. The online platform makes it easy for Japanese-bilingual freelancers (i.e. anyone proficient in Japanese and any other language with unique skills to offer) to match-up with employers seeking talent with such unique skills. The online platform is still in “Beta”, continuing to improve its usability for all users, but is already fully functional as a global job matching service allowing cross-border transactions between employers and freelancers around the world. The number of users (both freelancers and employers) continues to grow steadily.In his prior career, Hiroki worked in printer marketing at Canon Inc. (Tokyo and Amsterdam); as a Management Consultant at Corporate Directions, Inc. (Tokyo) and Tower Perrin [now Willis Towers Watson] (Los Angeles); as VP Aerospace Marketing at Kaiser Aluminum (Pleasanton, CA); and as VP of Operations at RfStream America, Inc., a fabless semiconductor startup in Silicon Valley (which went out of business in 2010).
