I specialize in commercial transactions between the U.S. and Japan, as well as business litigation and dispute resolution in the areas of employment, contract disputes, product liability, trade secrets, intellectual property, governmental investigations and subpoenas. I also serve as outside general counsel to many Japanese corporations.As an attorney familiar with both U.S. and Japanese business cultures, I have a deep understanding of how each culture thinks and behaves, and this understanding has allowed me to effectively assist Japanese clients through all phases of commercial transactions and business litigation. Prior to attending law school, I was an accountant at Arthur Andersen, and held a license as a certified public accountant.
