- Direct and manage installation/deinstallation of 24 exhibitions of Wangechi's, worldwide from Denmark, Russia to India to name a few, in addition to acting as lead tech liaison for exhibitions not present for installation.- Maintain constant communication with directors, curators, and technicians with a focus on creative spatial problem solving as desired by artist and her vision. - Manage install staffs ranging of 2-18, including studio team assistants, institution technicians, and art handlers on site. Duration of installation trips: 2 - 30 days. - Advise exhibition partners on the allocation of budgeted funds.- Generate digital plan drawings, 3D renderings of floor plans utilizing SketchUp, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Exhibition spaces up to 7,000 sq/ft.- Create installation and maintenance manuals for 22 installation and video artworks. - Coordinate shipments of all exhibition artworks from both New York and Nairobi studio. Tasks include: report condition of artworks, design custom shipping crates per artwork, oversee secure, safe packing techniques for domestic and international travel.
