Member of portfolio management team which managed a Real Assets fund of funds and fund of hedge funds.• Real Assets Fund Evaluation / Due Diligence – Covered alternative real assets funds (farmland, infrastructure, and timberland) and real estate funds for global real assets FoF managed on behalf of Japanese pension fund clients. Additionally, evaluated, traded, and monitored public US timber REITs as part of timber allocation. Regular evaluations of underlying real estate funds and funds within investment universe, and proposal of investment ideas (new investment or allocation change) based on qualitative and quantitative analysis.• Portfolio Management – Managed a $20MM Asia incl. Japan FoF on Managed Accounts platform on behalf of High Net Worth clients in Japan. Managed a $100MM global multi-strategy Fund of Managed Accounts from October 2011.• Hedge Fund Due Diligence – Evaluated hedge funds of various strategies as part of sourcing for several FoFs being managed by team.• Fund sourcing – Sourcing based on databases, conferences, and contacts. Due diligence on investment managers’ investment skills, risk management, and opportunities in their respective space/strategy. Worked with investment managers to clarify investment terms as needed prior to investment.• Investment Committee (IC) meetings – Lead IC meetings for several FoHFs, presenting reviews of macro environments and outlook by market and strategy. For real assets FoF, presented monthly research updates for alternative real asset sectors which included commodity markets and capital flows.• Marketing Support – Provided support for marketing teams as part of periodic reporting for current investors and fundraising support for potential investors.

• Risk analysis – Quantitative risk analysis of Japan long short and Asian multi strategy hedge funds and FoFs. Calculations done on individual fund and overall FoF level using proprietary and commercial software (Northfield and Pertrac).• Development – Development and maintenance of analysis tools using Perl, SQL, and VBA. Creation and maintenance of fund databases to manage fund universe and fund holdings (on underlying position level).

• Financial and corporate governance analysis - Performed primary research on publicly listed US, Japanese, French, UK and Australian companies.

• Financial analysis and cost analysis - Analyzed methods to normalize global performance metrics to identify cost saves and bad volume around the world. Recommended solutions to global heads of operations following analysis.

• Project management - Managed several international projects for the aerospace market, working with such companies as NASA, Boeing, NEC, DASA, BAE, and Alenia.• Product development - Researched, developed and qualified MIL-STD-1553 network components for the International Space Station through Boeing and NASA, and the Euro fighter program through several European Aerospace companies.
