1987年(株)日立製作所入社。システム開発研究所にて、主としてスーパーコンピュータ向けのソフトウェア(プログラミング言語処理系)の研究開発に従事。当時の標準的なベンチマークプログラムにおいて、世界に先駆けて、ソフトウェアによる自動変換で、人手による最適な変換に匹敵する高性能を達成。本業績に基づき、早稲田大学より博士号を授与。2000年09月より、同社情報・通信グループ 事業企画本部にて、ICT分野における先端技術を活用した新事業開発に従事。無線ICタグを埋め込んだ入場券による展博来場者管理システムを実用化。2003年10月より、同社情報・通信グループ 経営戦略室、及び同社システム&サービスビジネス統括本部 経営戦略統括本部にて、ICT分野における技術マネジメント、知財マネジメント全般に従事。詳細は職歴参照。2022年3月(株)日立製作所退社。2022年4月より、一般財団法人工業所有権協力センターにて、特許調査業務に従事。Joined Hitachi in 1987, assigned to Systems Development Laboratory. My mission was R&D in system software (programming language processor) for supercomputers. A notable achievement was the development of an automatic program translator, whose automatically-generated code exhibited as good performance as hand-optimized code, using a benchmark program suite widely-used at the time. This achievement led me to a Ph.D. from Waseda University.From Sept. 2000, moving to Business Planning Department, Information & Telecommunication Systems, my mission was business development by exploiting cutting-edge technologies. Contributed as a project manager in launching an exhibition guest management system using an RFID tag embedded in a guest card.From Apr. 2012, in Strategy Planning & Development Office, Information & Telecommunication Systems, I was in charge of overall technology management and IP, intellectual property, management in ICT business.
