•Managed development section of genomic supporting facility in the Omics Science Center (OSC) and Center for Life Science Technology (CLST), RIKENFrom April 2011, I started carrier of senior scientist as a section manager in genomic supporting facility in OSC RIKEN. I also started to develop new procedure of chromosome purification and to develop procedure of complete assembling of shotgun sequencing tags by own grants.•Established genomic supporting core unit and managed for 10 years in the Center of Developmental Biology (CDB), RIKEN From 2000, I took over to establish genomic core unit in CDB to support semi-large scale DNA sequence project, custom-made microarray, customized large screening assay, and clone distribution, combined with informatics support with average 7 staffs. We were recognized authorship on over the 17 papers by 10 years activity.•Developed FACS-based massive single cell transcriptome technologyTo elucidate the mechanisms underlying the generation of heterogeneous cell types, especially neural cells in the brain, I developed FACS-based single cell transcriptome system, where the combination of single cell gene expression data with FACS analysis data can produce massive and multidimensional data against 1000 cells every experiments. I revealed the heterogeneity of planarian neural cells and contributed the project of understanding of stem cell property in planarian by using this system. •Clarified key factor for regeneration The molecular mechanisms underlying the re-organization of body morphology remain unknown. We found islet homolog controls the wnt expressed cell differentiation at the most end of the tail of planarian, followed by proceeding of tail regeneration.
