I am a Graduate Policy Officer at Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) where I contribute to advancing Australia’s foreign policy agenda. I am particularly passionate about people-to-people relations and strengthening Australia’s partnerships with countries in East and Southeast Asia. I am also passionate about the involvement and representation of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities within the Australian Public Service.At DFAT, I leverage my strategic thinking and complex problem solving skills to deliver high quality recommendations to government. I also utilise strong intercultural skills to build and maintain relationships with partners both domestic and international.Prior to joining DFAT, I have had a breadth of experience across public sector consulting and higher education, through which I developed a track record of delivering research excellence, data-driven policy analysis and evaluation, strategic planning, innovative program delivery and robust stakeholder management. Speaking Bahasa Indonesia, Korean, Japanese and Malay to an advanced level, I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Asian Studies from The University of Melbourne where I undertook research in areas such as nationalism, governance, electoral politics, civil society and democratisation in East and Southeast Asia.
