I am a senior mainframe software engineer working on the IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition product.In this role I am developing new product features, servicing customer issues and working as a lab advocate for some of our largest customers.

I am the lead developer for Operational Decision Manager for z/OS. This role involves all aspects of software development:Leading the development team to deliver the product and its ongoing maintenanceVisiting our customers on-site to assist them with their use of ODM for z/OSBuilding ongoing and trusted relationships with customers through the Lab Advocacy programPresenting at industry conferences on ODM for z/OSSupporting customers by resolving problems and delivering product fixes

I was a member of the IBM Operational Decision Manager development team. I worked as a developer to deliver key components of the ODM runtime on z/OS which were written in multiple languages including C, Java, HLASM, COBOL and PL/I

I was the main developer for the WebSphere Business Events product for z/OS

I provided customer support for WebSphere Message Broker (IIB) for z/OS

I performed functional and system testing of WebSphere MQ & Message Broker

I was a member of the MQe development team and I was focussed on testing the product. This involved planning and delivering test plans and writing test cases in Java.

During the IDS Mark worked part time at the Hursley Laboratories whilst also studying for a BSc Honours degree in computer science. Mark graduated from the IDS with first class honours.
