Stream: Mechanical Engineering Specialization: Solar Energy (Thermal)Thesis Overview:- Worked on project ‘Structural and Optical Analyses of Optimized Hybrid Composite Solar Parabolic Trough Collector using Novel Modelling Approach’ under Prof. K S Reddy.- Prototyped a novel trough design; achieved weight reduction of upto 30% and 4.5% in two different trough cases, thus reduced the tracking power requirements.- Reduced cost by 10 times and improved optical efficiency by ~2% to ~60% for Hybrid trough in comparison to earlier studied trough designs for all cases
