I am presently the Chief Commercial Officer for Centrex Limited. My focus is on leading and managing the operations across commodities including sourcing strategy, contract negotiations on a global level across private and public organisations and high-level stakeholder engagement.My passion is leading team through complex problem solving to achieve positive outcomes. I was initially attracted to the shipping industry as I was fascinated to see huge vessels, their structure, the power and the capacity to hold such enormous quantity. This interest has expanded to include strategic thinking, global exposure, product strategies and identifying opportunities. My roles have evolved to include high level stakeholder engagement across various cultures, customs, and jurisdictions, which I approach with a focus on being authentic whilst building industry relationships and connections ensuring I stay up to date with industry trends and information. My leadership style is built on providing clear and direct instructions, fostering trust, and using a mentoring & coaching style to assist with staff development. Taking an entrepreneurial approach, I have a depth of procurement and supply chain experience (international sea freight, liner, logistics, project cargo movement), hold an Executive MBA from Melbourne Business School and have achieved a Fellow Membership with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. I have a proven track record of success in product supply, chartering and managing operations for inbound/outbound cargo (bulk, break-bulk, liquid and container vessels) across international trade lanes. I thrive in fast-paced environments demanding strong organisational, technical, and interpersonal skills. I am best known for my ability to incorporate innovative management techniques that result in enhanced business practices, increased productivity, and profits.
