*My current role entails doing 1:1 working with vulnerable participants within the Criminal Justice System; specifically working with those currently on license or in custody to ensure their education, training and emotional needs are met, whilst encouraging and advocating wherever necessary to aid our participants get their needs met. The facets worked on with participants vary from education, employment, and housing to encouraging participants to work on their mental wellbeing, with community mental health teams and counselling provisions, to encouraging participants to tackling their addictions and substance misuse.*Identify the needs of a participant upon release and sign-post participants to varying agencies and organisations, by challenging attitudes to ensure participants are engaged and emphasise what benefits that they could have working with specialists. *Ensure the wellbeing of direct employees, ensuring that their needs are met and that there welfare and mental wellbeing is maintained. *Conduct recruitment and interviews to candidates and sit directly on panels and find suitable candidates for the CFO project. *Ensure targets are met and delivered to our partners in a timely manner to Shaw Trust, Ixion and Genius Within. Being partners with HMP to deliver 1:1 intervention with participants to directly support probation services and build resilience within individuals. *Onboard volunteers and staff for the CFO3 projects within Kent, Thames Valley, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire to encourage and develop opportunities with the volunteers looking to get experience either within the Criminal Justice System, or working with vulnerable adults. *Operationally ensure the smooth management of Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, and Thames Valley is maintained and delivering our service, to expand outreach to those that require our intervention. Aid with maintaining the tenancies for high priority vulnerable clients within the communities, within Chatham. Achieving this by aiding with the retrieval and clearance of rental arears, by working closely with both clients and Medway Council to procure Win-Win scenarios.First point of call for Medway Council in regards to DA, DV victims and individuals with Complex Needs. Ensuring that CTAX reductions and HB were in place, therefore the Client could work on themselves. Addressing any Rental arrears with both the client and the local authority to avoid evictions.Produce initial risk assessments with vulnerable clients to understand their support and needs, to ensure that basic amenities are accounted for.Work alongside Medway Council to support young vulnerable clients under the age of 18yo to maintain a tenancy and signpost them to organisations such as Forward Trust for substance misuse and One Big Family, Street Angels for general amenities. Accessing third party services wherever necessary.Work with Foodbanks for vulnerable clients, to ensure that clients basic needs are met.Work with Local Authorities and clients to access Support Grants. Challenging decisions by the Local Authority, to ensure the needs of vulnerable clients were addressed.Work Closely with Housing Officer's in Medway to address conditions of TA's. Ensuring that the welfare of the properties were suitable. Addressing any safeguarding issues with the client and ensuring suitability of housing was just for the vulnerable client.Aid victims of DA or complex needs with their documentation, working closely with them using a trauma care approach, by recognising the signs of PTSD and anxiety. To source the relevant documentation to support applications, such as the evidence required for Housing Benefit, Discretionary Housing Payments and Kent Home Choice accounts.
