Financial Systems was reorganized from Finance division to the IT organisation in September of 2009. The transition went very smooth as we were already working closely together. We were not a stranger to IT and IT was not a stranger to us.In the mean time I have accepted an interim director assigment, which enables me to learn a lot about the new organisation of which me and my team are now part of.In this new role I am responsible for 3 development groups: Supply Chain Systems, Information Management/Distribution Systems and Financial Systems. All three are working for very different customers and using different tools. But having similar challenges and people needs. My goal was to seek for collaboration opportunities in order to improve effectiveness and provide opportunities.While the Financial Systems team maintained its high performance standards, through collaboration managed to achieve several small successes through resource and knowledge sharing.
