DoD MERHCF and CRM – Financial Statement Audits  Supported the development of the audit plan’s the scope, timing and direction and the preliminary engagement activities such as understanding the entity and identifying risk area for Medicare-Eligible Retiree Health Care Fund (MERHCF) and Contract Resource Management (CRM). Conducted in-person walkthroughs at client-site to gain a better understanding over the controls and processes. Provided Information Technology (IT) support to the manager during the interviews at the client site.AOUSC – Cyclical and Financial Audits of the U.S. Courts Performed on-site audits, using TeamMate audit working papers, for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AOUSC) at Circuit Courts, District Courts, Bankruptcy Courts, Federal Public Defender Organization, and at the Offices of Probation and Pretrial Services. Performed substantive testing over Court’s Deposit, Registry and Unclaimed Funds, Budget Management, Monthly and Payroll Accruals, Payment Processes, Disbursement Controls, Over the Counter Collections, Bank and Treasury Deposits, Travel Programs, Accountable Property Management, Credit Card Programs, Reconciling Bank Statements with U.S. Treasury Accounts, Human Resources Functions, and Firearms and Seized Property Controls.  Examined documents, conducted sample testing, observations and interviews with process owners and court unit executives to create narratives of processes and controls. Wrote and reviewed audit reports for accuracy and consistency before submission to the audit partner. Managed and monitored the entire Court team’s personnel files and engagement documents throughout the year.

 Presented company analysis to senior leadership on areas that presented risk on a multi-month team project. Assisted the comptroller in making decisions that impacted PSI’s cash flow through adjustments in royalty percentages, and decisions related to franchise expansion.  Researched and wrote the software requirement document for an enterprise system; worked with software developers as the main point person responsible for the creation of a new enterprise resource and customer management systems. Aided in the planning and execution of restructuring plan which eliminated loss generating centralized corporate training and substituted them with a sustainable long-term regional apprenticeship program. Examined all the prior operating manuals; rewrote the new operating manuals and led a team in the implementation. Audited underperforming franchises and through various approaches turned around bottom 15% of the locations. Developed performance appraisals and evaluated the corporate personnel. Conducted interviews and hired the current marketing director, half of the regional supervisors and the office secretary for the president. Developed continuing education programs to enhance the business acumen of the franchises by instituting training programs. Set the agenda and chaired the weekly company meetings based on goal-oriented change, and revisiting conclusions in a learning and collaborative environment for one-year. Collaborated with the marketing director on brand re-image on the company’s 30th Anniversary to closely align with customer expectations. Recruited new candidates for the corporate office by through internships and job fairs at local universities.
